Posted by Jason on April 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM

Are you a cheater? Many people pride themselves on their gaming abilities. There are scores of very serious gamers out there. Some gamers turn their hobby into a profession by playing pro. But some of us just like to have fun. It can be so frustrating to get into a fun game and just keep dying. So you go looking for an article just like this one to help you get through. Some people love gaming but don't really have time to invest. Cheat codes that fill up your bank like the one in Sims 4 are an awesome find. Sometimes it's fun just to get in there and mess with things.

Cheating in video games can be thought of almost as a game itself. Spending time searching for hidden passageways, different modes, Easter eggs, and glitches can add an additional element to gameplay. If you're looking to make gameplay a little easier on yourself — we're not here to judge — sometimes cheat happens. We've put together a collection of the cheat codes you need for some of the current most popular games, and a few extras here and there.

God of War | PS4

It's 2018, If you're not taking out seiðr warped revenants with the Leviathan axe than what are you doing with your life? The highly acclaimed God of War series by Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment continues its 2010 storyline from God of War III; this time with a nod to Norse mythology. This is the highest rated game of 2018 on any platform. God of War features stellar graphics and a fresh over the shoulder continuous shot style gameplay.

If you're just getting started (or if you missed it) you'd be well advised to go after the Golden Talisman of Protection. This item is easy to pass by, and you don't want to miss it. The Golden Talisman boosts recovery time, increases defense, and adds a bit to your parry window. It can be found in Stone Falls, Northeast of the temple. Open the gates to Veithurgard. Go past the angry spirit and through the gate on your right. Find and open the "legendary chest" to receive the talisman.

Sims 4 | PS4

While Sims 4 has been out for a few years, it's pretty much a universally loved game that never gets old. The Sims is published by Electronic Arts (EA) and developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio. On PS4 the gameplay is enhanced with high-quality humorous graphics, downloadable content and the inclusion of small animal pets. Expansion packs keep the game ever-expanding and fresh.

To enable the cheat codes console hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 down at the same time. Enter the cheat code of your choice and press the circle button. Close the console window by holding down all four shoulder buttons again.

Pokémon Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon | Nintendo DS

Pokémon has been going strong for decades now, and it's not slowing down. Increases in graphic quality and the addition of the Alola region have made this game more fun than ever. Being a Nintendo game, all the hidden treasures in these games are far too numerous to list here. But we've roped a couple we think you'll like.

To nab a special Pikachu that knows Surf you'll have to practice your surfing yourself. Once you're good enough to get a high score on every Mantine Surf course, head back to the Surf Association in Heahea City. Talk to the owner for your Pikachu who knows how to hang ten.

After you've completed your Alola PokéDex you can increase your chances of finding Shiny Pokémon with the Shiny Charm. Return to Game Freak Headquarters and talk to the director to receive this item.

Super Mario Odyssey |Nintendo Switch

Going on a new adventure to save the Princess is always fun (even if outdated). This Super Mario game makes coin collecting worthwhile again by adding the inclusion of outfits. Stores within the game sell outfits, power-ups and other game-related items. Mario is armed with Cappy his new weapon in the form of a safari hat.

Throughout the game you will stumble upon little 8-bit hieroglyphs of Mario and Peach in their 3-D World cat costumes. When you do, throw Cappy at them for hearts and coins. Go through the platform where the Spark Pylon goes to the tower to find a hidden Rosalina.

If you manage to unlock the Mushroom Kingdom head to Peach's castle. Find a scarecrow along the mote and toss Cappy to expose hidden stairs. Race up the stairs before time is out to find Yoshi waiting for you! Toss Cappy at Yoshi to capture him.

Celeste | Xbox One

Originally a prototype, Celeste is a Canadian video game with an old-school feel developed by Matt Thorson and Noel Berry. Players must help Madeline reach the top of the mountain Celeste. The game has a touching narrative and fantastic soundtrack. The general consensus is that this game is hard. In fact, cheating your way through is no big deal as the developers have included a built-in assist-mode. Even though the game makers are being polite, there's no doubt these "accessibility options" are straight up cheating.

Celeste's assist mode includes making your character invincible, extending her jump, and even slowing down the entire game. The game itself seems welcoming despite its brutal difficulty. Celeste doesn't judge you for cheating. It's also cool that due to this accessibility Celeste has made itself available to a wide audience of people, including those with different levels of ability. Assist mode can be toggled on and off from the start up menu.

Into the Breach | PC

Awarded the best PC game of 2018 by Metacritic, Into the Breach is all about strategy. In this game developed by Subset, players control giant mechas to save the world from an alien race. The game is just as challenging as it's forerunner FTL, but cheat codes are available to totally crush the game and completely remove the need for strategy. Caution should be taken when using codes in this game, however.

Inputting the codes is quite simple. Press the tilde [~] key on your keyboard. This brings down the console window. Then type any of the following commands for the desired result. Know that using these codes might disable or effect achievements which are needed to upgrade, get coins, and purchase mech.

  • win - Automatically completes the current mission.
  • victory - Auto-completes the present campaign.
  • kill - Instantly annihilates all enemies on the map.
  • makeitso - Unlocks normal pilots.
  • pod - Summons a time pod if you don't have one.

Subnautica | PC

This underwater game was released January 23, 2018, for PC by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. The game begins with a single player crashing onto an underwater alien world. It is a beautiful and terrifying game, with an easy learning curve. The rules are simple: explore, don't die, and try to find a way out. Your goal is to build and create things from materials around you. There's achievements to unlock when you use unique items. The threat of being eaten alive is very real.

If you're having a hard time keeping afloat in this game, these are the codes you need to make it a bit easier. To get to your cheat code control panel, hit F3. A checkbox will appear in the top left corner of your screen. It will be checked and read "Disable Console." Press the F8 key to bring your mouse cursor up. Uncheck that box and you will automatically activate the console. Then press the "Enter" key and type in the command. Just a note: every time you start the game, you need to use one of the overlay keys like F3 in order to press the console key to input more codes.

  • FASTBUILD - Will give you faster build time.
  • MADLOOT - Generates useful items for you to use.
  • NODAMAGE - This grants you invisibility.
  • NOCOST - Use this to have no craft and no build costs.
  • ITEM (NAME OF ITEM) (AMOUNT) - This will spawn the item you're looking for.
  • BIOME (NAME OF BIOME) - Use this code to teleport to biomes available to you.
  • OXYGEN - Stay alive with unlimited oxygen levels.
  • WARPME - Teleport to a safe place using this code.

Shadow of the Colossus | PS4

This game was released to PS4 by Bluepoint Games and JAPAN Studios. You, the main character, have begun a quest to find the Collossi, ancient creatures that are said to roam distant lands and hold a secret to the mystical power of revival. This power is what you seek to bring a loved one back from the dead. Each creature you encounter will present a challenge that will test your wit and strategy. It has stunning graphics and breathtaking scenery.

Health Boost - Shoot at the fruit in the trees. Use the circle button to pick them up off the ground and eat them to boost your health.

Stamina Boost - Shoot at the lizards on the ground, then hit the circle button to grab and eat them. This increases your stamina.

Reminiscence Mode - After you have defeated a Colussus, you can pray at their body to fight them again like a flashback. Just press the circle button by their bodies, and your character will kneel and pray.

Feeling guilty for cheating? Losing video game street cred? Shadow of Colossus has an anti-cheat mode you can try on for size. If you manage to beat the game be sure to save your progress during the end credits. This will enable you to opt-in to the Hard Mode the next time you start a new game.

Super Mario 3D World | Nintendo Wii U

Just because everyone else has made the switch and you haven't doesn't mean there still isn't lots of fun to be had on your old Wii U. Fire up Super Mario 3D World and check out this cheat you wish you'd have known before you got to so far into the game. Be prepared for infinite lives.

Head to world 1-2. Slide down the grassy hill and jump into the pipe. Enter the clear pipe and avoid the first Koopa, walk past the second Koopa and kill the Goomba on the ledge. Don't break the purple blocks. Take the shell from the second Koopa. Get back on the ledge and stand in front of the second purple block. If you time throwing the shell at the wall in front of you just right and jumping on it, you can collect an infinite number of lives.
